Founded in 1903, the IoD is the leading organisation for directors and senior managers with more than 52,000 members in the UK. Members include CEO's of large corporations as well as entrepreneurial directors of SMEs and start-up companies.

The SDDC has been created by the Institute of Directors – Scotland to provide a series of services designed specifically to benefit the professional development of business leaders at director level in the private, the public and not-for profit sectors.
